Arts and Crafts

Our Arts and Crafts Program is overseen by Ms. Gabriella Sanchez. In this program, we let our members express themselves by doing activities such as coloring, crafting, drawing, painting, and more. We love to see the big smile each child has on their face after successfully completing their activity for the day.

Computer Lab and Math

Our Computer Lab and Math Program is overseen by Ms. Emery Nino. In this program, we let our members safely surf the web and play games such as Minecraft and Roblox. Aside from being able to play games, we have our members work on IXL Math, a program funded 100% by United Way, that helps children strengthen their math skills, understand specific concepts, and rewards them for their accomplishments. This program requires us to keep a record of your child's report cards during school. This is to ensure that the Math Program is helping your child in certain areas.

Library and Reading

Our Library and Reading Program is overseen by Mrs. Ivonne Hinojosa-Fuentes. In this program, we let our members rent out and read books in our library. In addition, we have our members work on IXL Reading, another program funded 100% by United Way, that helps children in the same areas as the Math Program: strengthening their reading skills, has them understand specific concepts, and rewards them for their accomplishments.
This program requires us to keep a record of your child's report cards during school. This is to ensure that the Reading Program is helping your child in certain areas.

Nutrition and Food

Our Nutrition and Food Program is funded 100% by FP Assistance, and it allows us to provide your child with an after-school supper and snack. Please be advised, we do not provide a supper and snack during our Summer program, however the Point Isabel Independent School District provides free lunches for our members between Monday and Thursday throughout the Summer.

Physical Education and Sports

Our Physical Education and Sports Program is where we allow our members to exercise and play games and sports in our newly renovated gym. At the moment, we are not hosting any sports seasons. We hope that we can host a basketball and soccer season for your child in the future. Please call the Center if you have any questions regarding our Sports Program.

Science

Our Science Program is overseen by Ms. Carina Villarreal. In this program, we let our members conduct small science experiments appropriate for their age group. We try to focus science lessons around things that the kids can see, hear, touch, taste, and smell so that they are continually immersed in science as they discover all sorts of new and different things about the world around them, how things work, and about themselves.
